College Grads Leap into the Future

It is well documented that dancers develop skills that give them an edge in life outside the studio.  Several current and former California Ballet dancers are proof of that.

Company dancer Katie Morone just graduated with distinction from San Diego State University.  She majored in Applied Arts & Sciences, receiving her degree in Art with an emphasis in Graphic Design.

Colleen Bosworth received two degrees from Case Western Reserve University in Ohio – in Statistics and Systems Biology.  She is moving back to the West Coast to begin work on her PhD in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at UC Santa Cruz.

Bradenton, Florida will be the new home for Mary Lauderdale, who graduated from Northern Arizona University with a degree in Elementary Education and Special Education.  She will be teaching 4th grade this fall at Manatee Elementary School.

Sarah Martin just completed her studies at Humboldt State University in California, earning a degree in Environmental Studies, a new field which combines humanities and social sciences with environmental issues.  She is planning a trip to India in January and hopes to return to school for a master’s degree after she travels.

Congratulations to all our College Grads!
