Concept and choreography by Charles Bennett

Dracula was choreographed for CBC by Charles Bennett to an original composite score of music. Since its premiere in 1987, Dracula has received critical acclaim and audience approval. Castles and wolves, bats and vampires are brought to life to frighten and delight as the struggle between the forces of good and evil is revealed.

Choreographer’s Notes:

Adapting Bram Stoker’s “Dracula” for presentation as a “dance-drama” was both a delightful and humbling experience. The work premiered with California Ballet in 1987 and has since been performed by numerous companies on both the east and west coasts. Over the years it has received audience of more than 45,000 theater goers.
