What’s the Pointe?

Here’s the Pointe:

It all starts with a pair of pointe shoes . . .

Community enrichment, donated tickets, a child’s first time seeing a ballet, a senior’s last . . . each of these things starts with a pair of pointe shoes. Each pair allows a performance, festival or event to go on. Your sponsorship doesn’t just buy a pair of shoes, but an experience for hundreds of people.

Pointe Shoes, the tools of a ballerina’s trade, are a significant production expense for any ballet company. A female dancer can go through as many as 20 pairs in one season, and sometimes one pair will only last for one performance.
