Zachary is originally from Madison, Wisconsin. He moved to New York City when he was 16 to train at the School of American Ballet where he was a recipient of the Rudolph Nureyev Scholarship in 2013, and was SAB's nominee for the Princess Grace Award in 2012. Zachary performed with Los Angeles Ballet for three seasons and has performed a number of Balanchine works such as Stars and Stripes, Divertimento No. 5, and Rubies, as well as a number of classical ballets including The Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, and Don Quixote. He has also had the pleasure of working on several contemporary works such as Jiri Kylians, Sechs Tanze, and Septime Webre's Fluctuating Hemlines. Zachary has participated in the National Choreographers Initiative for the past two years, and was freelancing through Southern California until he joined California Ballet this season.
